As usual, the weather in Las Vegas is sunny and hot. The streets are teeming with traffic and people, all going about their normal business.

Sara turns to look at Barry and grins. He looks utterly enthralled with the chaos around them. "Let's stash your stuff in my apartment for now--we can come back later." He nods in agreement, and soon she's driving them to the crime lab.

Sitting in the parking lot, she hesitates before getting out.

"Is everything all right?" His concern touches her, as it always does.

"Yes--it's just a little strange to be here as a visitor."

He takes her hand, squeezing it comfortingly, before they head into the building.

"And none of the chefs can turn into fauns. I think. I mean, this is Vegas." He smirks, and that is the last he says about Gil, or any of the others he's worried about back home.

Back home...funny how he thinks of the Bar as home without even thinking about it.

While they wait, Barry instead talks of friends, of Jaina's birthday and how Clarice has invited him to the stables and how Ray named a coffee demon - "Don't ask. It seemed normal to me by now." - DiMaggio. He laughs and grins and sometimes just gets lost in her eyes.

And when dinner comes they eat slowly, enjoying the conversation as much as the food.

"Always."

He takes her in his arms, and sways with her to the music. They flow carefully across the dance floor, forgetting that there is anyone else there. Occasionally, if he knows the song, he sings along with the music softly in her ear.

And every so often, they get a view of the window, overlooking the bright lights of the city.

He leans in close as they say around. He thought he would be more nervous. He's not.

"Sara, do you think it's possible to get a room here for the night?"

He smiles back at her, totally charmed by how, at some level, she's just as nervous and as excited as he is.

He begins to dance again, with a little more vigor.

"Shall we have dessert here, or order room service?"

"Oh my." And for the first time since she has known him, and certainly the first time since they fell in love, there is a look on his face of almost sinful anticipation and delight.

"Then shall we get the check and find the front desk?"

His grin is one of delight, and love. His heart begins to race faster as they head to the elevator, and they ride up.

Throwing discretion to the wind just a little - it's not like he doesn't see the security cameras - he grabs her in his arms and kisses her with deep passion.

"Have I told you lately how much I love you?"

He smiles and is about to kiss her again when the elevator door opens. The hall is empty, and they walk hand in hand to the room.

She opens it, and through drawn curtains, the window shows the night sky and the light of Las Vegas spread out below. He draws her under his arm and they walk into the room. Deftly, and using his speed for the last time this night, he places the Do Not Disturb sign outside the room.
