The Lab - Post Date
Since they had taken Greg's car to the diner, it only made sense for him to bring Sara with him to work that night.
They separate with soft smiles.
Sara signs in for the night, exchanging pleasantries with Judy before heading to the locker room to hang up her purse and change shoes.
Two seconds after she sits down on a bench, Catherine walks in with an amused look on her face.
"Since when do you and Greg carpool?"
She gets a raised eyebrow and slight smirk. "Since when does that matter?"

Just heading toward the door, his arm is instantly grabbed by Nick, who murmurs, "Hey, man, dropping off Sara now?"
Warrick shows up a second later.
"Yeah, dude, tell all --"
"Don't spread this around or anything," Greg answers, "but yeah. I took her out to dinner tonight, and --"
"No way! You and Sara?"
"Yes way, Mr Stokes," he continues proudly.
And, of course, tells all.
With the caveat of 'don't tell Grissom.'
Yeah right.

Shoes tied, hair pulled back. Sara walks out with Catherine, heading to a lab to begin processing some garbage acquired at one scene.
"And, Sara? First time you've been out to dinner with anyone since..."
"Barry. You can say his name." Her eyes are calm. "Greg and I...are seeing where things go."

"Like hell it isn't," counters Warrick.
"No. It's not. For you, anyway. Or for the lab. Me? Different story. You? No."
"Ecklie's going to --"
"Don't even think it, Nicky my boy."
"Don't call me that, then!"
"Okay. How about 'CSI Superstar?'"
"I still haven't forgiven you --"
"Guys, guys, cut it out," Warrick interrupts, pulling a sandwich out of his locker as the three of them walk in just as Sara and Catherine walk out.

"Also, I don't think they heard you in Nigeria. You might try shouting louder," Catherine snarks. "Enjoy, boys. I think you guys get a trick roll tonight."
Catching Greg's eye, Sara winks and follows Catherine down the hall.
