We caught the Chimera rapist. A genetic anomaly, among other things, had us release him prematurely. Resulting in the death of one of the women he raped. I know, intellectually, I wasn't at fault. Why was I the one charged with informing her family though? Grissom is the supervisor...

I was pulled over last night for a DUI. Honest to god, I only drank two beers with Nicky and Warrick. I even managed to congratulate him without sounding false. They were the ones doing the shots...but I was the one pulled over.
Oddly enough, they didn't book me. Instead, they called Grissom.
He didn't yell at me. He simply took my hand and said he would take me home.
I can't handle his kindness. It gives me hope. I can't afford to have hope where he is concerned.
Maybe the vacation will be good for me.
